8 o’clock Club

Background

The Ladies 8’o/Clock club, as it is known now, started out as the Church Women’s Guild and the meetings used to take place at various locations i.e. Chedgrave vicarage and private houses.

They then joined up with the Chedgrave Young Wives.

In the middle 60’s the Loddon Young Wives met in the Lecture Hall and the then Chedgrave Wives amalgamated with the Loddon group and meetings were held in the Lecture Hall in George Lane in Loddon.

Meetings and Activities

Meetings are normally held in the Jubilee Hall on the last Wednesday of the month starting at 8pm.
New members and visitors are always welcome – just come along and say hello.

We have a speaker each month and in August we usually have a club walk and end up at a local pub for a sandwich.

In December we have a Candlelight Service in St. Johns Chapel and all are invited and the proceeds of this go to a local charity.
