Outline of the Group
This group has been operating continuously since its start up in1994. There are currently two Weekly Workshops. Both of these take place on Mondays with a morning session at Seething and Mundham Village Hall and an afternoon session held Chedgrave All Saints Centre. The sessions run from early January to mid April and then, after a break during the summer months, starting off again early September and running through to early December, thus averaging about 26 sessions per year All sessions are very sociable and, as such, the obligatory cups of tea/coffee and biscuits are provided! All levels of ability can be accommodated.
Weekend Painting Workshops are organised during winter months running from 1000 hrs to 1600 hrs on both days. A cooked lunch is provided each day along with continuous supply of teas/coffee and biscuits. Again, these are sociable leisure occasions, although, possibly, with a little more emphasis on learning!
There is also an opportunity for a short intensive course covering the basic techniques and materials. This Introduction to Drawing and Painting course consists of five, two and a half hour, sessions and is organised subject to demand.
A number of exhibitions have been organised over the years and are usually held on an alternating basis in the two rooms used by the group, Surplus proceeds go to nominated charities, usually to the two venues.

Introduction to Drawing and Painting
A short intensive course of four sessions is offered in response to requests for assistance on various art related issues. The objective of the course is to provide an excellent overview of the techniques and materials available for artists. It should cater for the needs of absolute beginners and up to improvers who have been practising for some time. The age of participants is irrelevant. The sessions will centre on the use of PowerPoint presentations, demonstrations, and question and answer discussions. Some example material and handouts will be provided although participants would need some material of their own. To achieve full benefit participants should be motivated to practice various techniques between sessions.
