There are plenty of relaxing activities to do in the Loddon area –
Boating – is perhaps the most obvious. Loddon sits close to the centre of the Southern Broads, part of the Broads National Park. There are a number of boatyards in Loddon and in Chedgrave that that provide week and day boat hire.
Angling – is also another favoured pastime.
Bird watching – the nearby Hardley Flood is a wonderful spot for this, with a purpose built hide for those wishing to spend some time here.
….. and for the more energetic
Cycling – Loddon sits on Route 1 of the National Cycle Network so if you are en-route from Dover to Scotland stop off for a cup of tea!
There are also lots of quiet lanes for you to explore as well.
Walking – Loddon sits on the Wherrymans Way, a long distance footpath that runs between Norwich and Great Yarmouth. If you love walking by a riverside this is a must.
But don’t restrict yourself to just the river. There is plenty of other walking to be had in our beautiful, gently rolling countryside.
